2022 Mock Draft 5.0 (Final version)

With the draft tomorrow, I figured that I'd do a mock draft one more time! When I do a trade for this mock, I am not good at guessing what else they might give up for the pick, except for the 1st rounder. So when I do a trade, it will only involve their 1st rounder.

1. Jaguars: Travon Walker: EDGE: Georgia

This is looking more and more likely every week. It could still be Aidan in the end, but you never know!

2. Lions: Aidan Hutchinson: EDGE: Michigan

If the Jags pass up on Aidan, the Lions will scoop him up in a heart beat! The Michigan native will get to stay home if this happens!

3. Texans: Evan Neal: OT: Alabama

While Ikem is the more ideal choice, Evan Neal is a more versatile linemen that will be able to protect Davis Mills!

4. Jets: Ahmad Gardner: CB: Cincinnati

Jets go with the top rated CB in the draft with their 4th overall pick to ensure that their secondary is ready to go to war against a tough AFC East!

5. Giants: Kayvon Thibodeaux: EDGE: Oregon

Giants need to get their OL fixed, but they first choose to go with one of the best pass rushers in the draft!

6. Trade: Saints: Ikem Ekwonu: OT: North Carolina State

Saints trade the 16th overall pick, and other future picks obviously, to snag a new OT to replace Terron Armstead, and secure their line for Winston moving forward!

7. Giants: Charles Cross: OT: Mississippi State

Might be a bit of a stretch here, but the Giants know that they have to ensure Daniel Jones' safety for them to even have any hope that he pans out.

8. Falcons: Malik Willis: QB: Liberty

Falcons need help with every position, and they decide to invest their first rounder on Malik Willis, and redshirt him for the year. Again, whatever decision the Falcons make here will be justified.

9. Trade: Eagles: Jordan Davis: DT: Georgia

The Seahawks have talked about trading down, and the Eagles have talked about trading up. The Eagles trade the 15th overall pick to the Hawks, along with other future round picks, and get their aging DL a new addition with fresh legs!

10. Jets: Jermaine Johnson: EDGE: Florida State

Robert Saleh gets his defense an upgrade at EDGE, to try and build up a defense that he had in San Francisco!

11. Commanders: Kyle Hamilton: S: Notre Dame

While Terry McLaurin's future is unsure, the Commanders cannot pass up on the opportunity to get a major upgrade in the defensive backfield!

12. Vikings: Derek Stingley Jr.: CB: LSU

Stingley's pro day made him a lot more desirable! While the Vikings have lots of needs, upgrading the secondary is a must!

13. Texans: Garrett Wilson: WR: Ohio State

Texans need a voice on defense, but they cannot pass up on the opportunity to add a new weapon for Davis Mills. Having Wilson pair up with Brandon Cooks is a match made in heaven for them!

14. Ravens: George Karlaftis: EDGE: Purdue

Ravens will give Lamar another opportunity to try and succeed, or tag him if he does well and they cannot agree on a long term deal. The Ravens will try and bolster their defense, and Karlaftis will help them accomplish that!

15. Seahawks: Devin Lloyd: LB: Utah

Following the trade with the Eagles, the Seahawks try and replace Bobby Wagner with the addition of Devin Lloyd.

16. Panthers: Kenny Pickett: QB: Pittsburgh

After their disastrously terrible QB play with Darnold, Newton, and Walker last year, Matt Rhule and the GM try and save their jobs by drafting Pickett.

17. Chargers: Jameson Williams: WR: Alabama

The Chargers decide to upgrade at WR to try and make sure that Herbert has the firepower that he needs to compete with the other teams in the AFC West.

18. Eagles: Matt Corral: QB: Ole Miss

Jalen Hurts is not the guy to lead your team to the promised land. The Eagles cannot waste another year cause their QB is not capable of taking the team far. Devonta Smith needs a QB, otherwise, the Eagles wasted his prime!

19. Saints: Chris Olave: WR: Ohio State

Saints nab a major upgrade at the WR position, and ensure that Winston has the tools that he needs to succeed!

20. Steelers: Trevor Penning: OT: Northern Iowa

Steelers wait to address to QB position later and quickly nab the best remaining OL left in the draft! This way they ensure that whoever is the starting QB this year, is protected!

21. Trade: Cowboys: Zion Johnson: OG: Boston College

Cowboys make a trade with the Pats to ensure that Dak Prescott is protected at the line of scrimmage this year!

22. Packers: Drake London: WR: USC

Packers draft a WR with their 1st overall pick for the first time in a long time! Drake London could help lessen the impact of losing Adams this offseason!

23. Cardinals: Andrew Booth Jr.: CB: Clemson

Despite the drama that is going on with Kyler Murray and the front office, the Cardinals try and bolster their secondary with the addition of Andrew Booth. The Cardinals got torched by the Rams, and the Rams just went out and bolstered their WR group this offseason, so the Cardinals take action quickly.

24. Patriots: Trent McDuffie: CB: Washington

The Patriots lost a major piece this offseason with the departure of J.C. Jackson. Belichick tries to soften the impact with the addition of McDuffie!

25. Bills: Daxton Hill: S: Michigan

Bills go the route of upgrading their secondary and add the versatile Daxton Hill. Some of their secondary players are coming off of major injuries, and this would immediately help them tremendously!

26. Trade: Steelers: Desmond Ridder: QB: Cincinnati

Steelers trade back into the 1st round and nab their QB of the future! The Titans will be able to regroup in the 2nd round while adding extra picks at the same time!

27. Bucs: Kaiir Elam: CB: Florida

The Bucs' secondary got torched against the Rams. With Elam still on the board, Todd Bowles goes into defensive mode and nabs a potential true number 1 starter.

28. Packers: Nakobe Dean: LB: Georgia

Packers go and get a good LB to buildup their defense for the long term.

29. Chiefs: Treylon Burks: WR: Arkansas

Chiefs stay put and manage to nab a steal in the 1st round. With his skill set similar to Deebo Samuel, the Chiefs find a true number 1 Wide Receiver for the long term.

30. Chiefs: Lewis Cine: S: Georgia

With the departure of Tyrann Matthieu, the Chiefs try to find his long term replacement, while fixing a secondary that has major issues!

31. Bengals: Tyler Linderbaum: C: Iowa

Bengals nab Linderbaum, and move Ted Karras to guard. The Bengals want to make sure that Burrow is protected, and with this line, he will be able to work wonders!

32. Lions: Perrion Winfrey: DT: Oklahoma

Lions continue to bolster their defensive line with the accqusition of Winfrey. Their DL was a joke last year, and Dan Campbell will ensure that it is more win ready this year!
