Fresh off their best win of the season, the New England Patriots were trying to turn their season around in Miami. However, they could not do it: instead, they were beaten 31-17 by the Dolphins.
The Patriots did start the game well, taking a 7-0 lead thanks to a Kyle Dugger interception and a touchdown pass from Mac Jones to Kendrick Bourne. However, the unit failed to play consistent football all day and as a consequence was unable to hang with an explosive Miami team bound to make its fair share of plays.
As a consequence, New England now drops to 2-6 on the season and further out of the playoff picture.
