With Deandre Hopkins being released I imagine half this board will be like "go get him and we will be contenders!"

Heck Nah! Hopkins does not fit this team going forward. He is over 30 and will likely want a lot money. He could fall off the cliff at any moment and he already suggested that he does not want to come here. Also, by signing he would probably push Douglas or Boutte off the roster. Also, what is the point of signing him? To get to the wild card round and get blown out by the bills or bengals. We're NOT in a position to contend. It would be better resources to trade a pick for higgins or Aiyuk than sign this guy.
