Something's missing.....but something's filled. Can you tell?
Junior Seau is arrested on charges of domestic violence against his live-in girlfriend. After being released from custody, Seau drives his car off a cliff in a possible attempted suicide. He was pulled out of the car with only cuts and bruises however and is now in Scripps Memorial Hospital.
"*Here are some interesting tidbits about two recent trades: The Vikings first approached the Patriots about trading for Randy Moss in the preseason. At the time, the Patriots weren’t interested. But they called the Vikings back three weeks into the season…. After the Patriots traded Moss, Deion Branch asked the Seahawks to trade him to the Patriots so he could be reunited with his bud Tom Brady. The Seahawks never made a call to New England though. The Patriots contacted them. And one reason they were open to moving Branch is they thought recently acquired Brandon Stokley could fill his role." Nothing too unexpected, but particularly interesting it was confirmed the Pats wanted to deal Moss "three weeks into the season" - after the Jets game, around the time they were concocting that rather Moss-less offensive playbook, and seemingly BEFORE he exploded at Bill O'Brien in Miami.
"He got open and caught some balls. Let's not make it too complicated."
Brady is all about the next minute, the next hour, and the next challenge. He lives for the next event and holds little memory of any past success. He is the definition of driven. He lives for the competition, he relishes being able to come into the building and compete with his teammates on anything -- all in the spirit of trying to make everyone better. He is one of those rare athletes, like Peyton Manning and many others, that combine an extremely unique passion with God-given talent. Brady has the mentality that if he doesn't come to work and work extremely hard on every detail that makes a quarterback successful, he will fail. He takes no shortcuts. He knows that his success lies in his own preparation -- that without total preparation a team cannot win.
