The NFL draft was not just dominated by college player selections and trades, but also by the dog of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Nike, an Alaskan Klee Kai, who he and his girlfriend, Linda Holliday, brought into the family a couple of years back was regularly spotted by the camera’s installed in Belichick’s house on Nantucket and at one point even filmed sitting behind the computer — instantly becoming an Internet sensation.
Earlier this week, Holliday joined ESPN’s Adam Schefter on his podcast to talk about how this happened and how Nike became the star of the draft:

Belichick himself spoke about Nike and his newly found fame during his media conference call after the draft had concluded on Saturday: “Linda did a great job with Nike. As you can see, he’s very personable, friendly, gets a lot of attention. I’ll give her the kudos on that one.”
