There are two members of the New England Patriots defense whose name can be abbreviated to C. Davis. They are, despite what ESPN apparently wants you to believe, not the same person.

  • Carl Davis is a defensive tackle who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds. He played college football at Iowa and started his career in Baltimore, Cleveland, Indianapolis and Jacksonville before arriving in New England earlier during the regular season.
  • Cody Davis is a special teams safety who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds. He played college football at Texas Tech and started his career in Los Angeles and Jacksonville before arriving in New England this offseason.
