Julian Edelman had to watch the New England Patriots’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers from isolation after being moved to the league’s Reserve/Covid-19 list earlier this week, but he was apparently pleased with the result. The most valuable player of Super Bowl 53 took to social media after the game to comment on the team’s 45-0 victory — one that saw his team dominate in all three phases from start to finish.
Edelman is expected to return to the Patriots for their stretch run and possibly late playoff push, but remains on the Coronavirus reserve list for now. Once he returns off that list, he is still on injured reserve because of a knee injury he underwent earlier during the season. New England’s offense has had its ups and downs during his absence, but certainly looked good against the Chargers by scoring four touchdowns with two coming through the air.
