The draft is not just a tool to get the best eligible college players in the country onto NFL rosters, but also an emotional experience by all those involved. In the time of social media, this emotion is regularly captured on video — and the setting itself did not change all too much despite the Coronavirus pandemic changing the entire draft in itself. But despite no big parties taking place in prospects’ homes, the emotions were still raw.
The New England Patriots released a short collection of clips filmed by their draft class earlier on Wednesday and it captures those emotions perfectly:

New England picked a total of 10 players in the NFL draft. The team selected safety Kyle Dugger with the 37th overall pick in the second round, followed by linebackers Josh Uche and Anfernee Jennings as well as tight ends Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene. On the third day of the even, kicker Justin Rohrwasser, offensive linemen Michael Onwenu, Justin Herron and Dustin Woodard were added, as was linebacker Cassh Maluia.
