On August 25, the newest edition of EA Sports’ pro football franchise will hit stores all over the United States: Madden NFL 21. From the perspective of New England Patriots fans, it will be the first Madden of the team’s the new era and with future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady donning a Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform instead of the Patriots’ new-look jerseys.
Nevertheless, fans have a lot to get excited about when it comes to the game. It’s trailer, for example, does look promising (even though it already shows Brady in Tampa Bay red one second in):

While Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who graces the game’s cover, gets most of the screen time in the trailer, one Patriot also makes an appearance: cornerback Stephon Gilmore, the NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year, is seen breaking up a pass against Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker.
EA Sports also released the covers of the new Madden today, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter sharing them on Twitter:
