New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown has to remain on the team’s injured reserve list for at least one more game before being eligible to return. However, his status is uncertain at the moment given that he has not appeared in any game after leaving the season opener versus the Miami Dolphins just seven snaps in.
On Thursday, the 28-year-old took to social media to give what could very well be a brief but somewhat cryptic update on his situation, writing “slow progress over no progress.”
Dealing with a calf strain, Brown was a limited participant in practice immediately following the game versus Miami. Leading up to the Week 5 game against the Houston Texans, however, he did not take the field and was eventually sent to injured reserve. Per league rules he has to miss at least three games on IR.
Brown re-joined the Patriots earlier this year via trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. He earned the starting spot on the right end of the line — one the team has struggled to properly fill ever since his calf injury.
