The New England Patriots are 4-0 on the road this season, with the latest of those victories coming on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers: New England defeated the team 24-6 at Bank of America Stadium in a game mostly dominated by defense. While the Panthers’ had some moments, the Patriots’ stood out.
Accordingly, it was no surprise to see Bill Belichick hand out game balls to two defenders after the contest. As the Patriots’ behind-the-scenes footage from inside the locker room shows, the team’s head coach honored linebacker Jamie Collins and cornerback J.C. Jackson.
Both had interceptions against Carolina QB Sam Darnold, with Collins’ being called the “play of the game” by Belichick. Jackson, meanwhile, returned one of his two picks for a touchdown.
The traditional postgame huddle was once again broken down by team captain Matthew Slater.
“How do we feel about coming down here to the ‘linas and getting it done?” he asked his teammates.
“Awwww yeah,” came back as the traditional answer.
