The New England Patriots were the most aggressive team in the NFL on the first day of the legal tampering period, agreeing to contracts with seven unrestricted free agents. Among them was former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Matthew Judon, who reportedly will join the organization on a four-year contract worth up to $56 million.
While Judon cannot sign his deal with the Patriots just yet — free agency does not officially begin before 4 pm ET on Wednesday — the 28-year-old already confirmed that he would eventually end up with the team: he took to Instagram to share a live video breaking the news, even though he acknowledged he was not the first person to do so.
Either way, Judon ended the short clip with the words “New England, here we come.” He will do so later this week, helping the team bolster a defensive front seven unit that struggled during the 2020 season.
