After more than three months without talking to the media, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick took the virtual podium again on Thursday to hold his annual pre-draft press conference. The 25-minute session included him talking about his team’s preparation for the event, his thoughts on this year’s quarterback class, and plenty more.
It also included the following light-hearted exchange with Dan Roche of WBZ:
DR: Bill, how you doing?
BB: Good Dan. How about you?
DR: No complaints. No complaints.
BB: That’s good. We don’t want to hear them anyways, so...
No complaints is certainly the Patriot Way, and it seems as if Belichick is appreciative of this approach to press conference small talk. Looks like the greatest coach in the NFL is already in a pretty good form when it comes to dealing with the media, even though the season will not get kicked off until five months from now.
