Over the weekend, the New England Patriots invited their 2021 rookie class — eight draft picks plus one undrafted free agent — to their first taste of NFL life. Between Friday and Sunday it was time for rookie minicamp at Gillette Stadium.
This meant that 15th overall draft pick Mac Jones and company were on the field together alongside the Patriots’ coaching staff under the watchful eye of Bill Belichick, while also getting introduced to the scheme, playbook and general organizational procedures.
On Tuesday, New England’s social media staff shared a short video from the three-day event. While the clip is not even 20 seconds in length, it does capture the essence of what was happening on the field: warmups and some individual drills. Nothing fancy per se, but if you wanted to see Jones and his fellow rookies wear the Patriots’ colors for once, this clip gives you an opportunity to do just that.
