Patriots are the biggest underdog in the NFL in Week 8

The New England Patriots are coming off of one of their best wins of the post-Tom Brady era, a 29-25 upset over the visiting Buffalo Bills.

However, the victory still only improved their overall record to 2-5 on the year and there is no telling whether it will be the start of a rally on the team’s part. The oddsmakers, at least, do not think that is the case.

The Patriots, after all, have opened as 10-point road underdogs against the Miami Dolphins, via DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under for the division game was set at 47.

Miami is coming off a 31-17 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, but they are still seen as massive favorites. In fact, no other team in the league is favored by double-digits heading into Week 8 — officially making the Patriots the biggest underdog in the NFL this week.

The fact that they already played against, and lost to, the Dolphins earlier this year certainly did not help their status. New England was defeated 24-17 in Week 2. Six week’s later, they will get a chance at revenge, and at a massive upset versus their AFC East rivals.

Kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
