Now that Tim Tebow has landed with the Patriots, there are a few interesting prop bets up for play.

Now that quarterback Tim Tebow is officially a New England Patriot, there is bound to be debate about how much success he will have with the team. That being said, here are a few of the more interesting lines and prop bets for Tebow in 2013, courtesy of Bovada:

Will he make the Patriots 53 man Week 1 roster?
Yes -400 (1/4)
No +250 (5/2)

Will he start a game as a QB for the Patriots in the 2013 Regular Season?
Yes +600 (6/1)
No -1200 (1/12)

Will he throw a TD Pass in the 2013 Regular Season?
Yes +200 (2/1)
No -300 (1/3)

Total Rushing & Receiving TD's in the 2013 Regular Season
Over/Under 1.5

Will he attempt a Pass in the 2013 Regular Season?
Yes -300 (1/3)
No +200 (2/1)

What do you think about some of those lines? Of course, none of them will have action on them if Tebow doesn't make the final roster, but they're intriguing and fun to debate nonetheless.

Have you had enough Tebow, yet? Well, regardless, SB Nation Studios recently weighed in on the move:

CBS Sports' Pete Prisco had a very strong reaction to the Patriots' signing of Tim Tebow, saying the move put the Patriots' arrogance "on full display."

The New England Patriots' signing of Tim Tebow yesterday figured to get a wide array of reactions. Some praised the move, and some criticized it. Perhaps one of the sharpest reactions came from CBS Sports' Pete Prisco, who said the move put the Patriots' "arrogance on full display":

1. Bill Belichick is doing a favor for his buddy Urban Meyer.

2. The Patriots' arrogance is in full force. It's more of this: "We can make anything work. We're the Patriots. We don't deal with distractions, just football players. We're the Patriots."

Prisco continues:

As for the Patriots' arrogance, this reeks of it. They'll show the other teams again that distractions don't matter in New England. Tebow may be a cult figure, but it won't be an issue in their locker room.

Umm... okay. Can't say I agree with Prisco's argument here. I don't think Prisco has a predisposed bias towards the Patriots either. After all, he is the guy who predicted them to go 16-0 a year ago. Still, Bill Belichick has shown a penchant for the unconventional over the years, and I think this signing falls under that category.

Personally, I don't see tremendous upside with this move, but I understand Belichick's line of thinking. In addition, I really don't think Tebow will cause any kind of a fallout in the locker room. The old adage in "New England" is "In Belichick We Trust." The Patriots clearly took their time with this move. If the Patriots do not go on to win it all in 2013, it won't be because of Tim Tebow.

The New England Patriots released a pair of players this afternoon: quarterback Mike Kafka and defensive tackle Dewayne Cherrington.

Yeah, the New England Patriots signed Tim Tebow today. But as it turns out, the team actually made a couple of other roster moves this Monday evening. The team has released two players, quarterback Mike Kafka and rookie free agent defensive tackle Dewayne Cherrington.

Cherrington was signed by the Patriots following the 2013 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State. At 6'6" and 335 lbs, Cherrington is a big body, but was considered a real long shot to make the Patriots final roster spot.

Kafka was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles out of Northwestern. He was expected to compete for a roster spot as the third quarterback on the roster. But with the signing of Tim Tebow, he became expendable. So there you have it, your Tim Tebow spin: the Patriots like Tim Tebow more than Mike Kafka.

Greg Knopping of PatsPulpit.com provides his thoughts on the New England Patriots' signing of quarterback Tim Tebow.

The New England Patriots made a splash for perhaps the league's biggest name free agent this Monday, signing quarterback Tim Tebow, according to an ESPN report. It's one of those moves that you never expected the Patriots to make, perhaps because it was the story everyone else said the Patriots would make. But alas, it has happened. A few quick thoughts on the move:

Patriots see him as a quarterback. ESPN's Ed Werder has reported that the Patriots see Tim Tebow as a quarterback going forward. That's important. He was drafted in the first round of the 2009 draft by Patriots' offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as a quarterback. He never got much of a chance to develop that chemistry with Josh McDaniels. Now, he'll get that chance.

Won't shake up the depth chart. Tim Tebow is very unlikely to shake up the depth chart in 2013. If the Patriots truly see him as a quarterback, he's going to be on the 3rd team. Ryan Mallett is firmly planted as the second string quarterback. However, if Tebow can have a strong 2013 season behind the scenes, he could be in play to be the second string guy in 2014, when Mallett enters the final year of his contract and figures to be prime trade bait.

Needs to earn roster spot before making active roster. While the national media will certainly hype up this signing, this move will not be considered a "splash" internally. Tim Tebow is the third string quarterback. Last year, the Patriots kept two quarterbacks on the 53 man roster. Although we may have a better idea of how the team views Tebow from his contract details, it is safe to say that he is far from a guarantee to make the roster. He'll need to prove worthy of a roster spot. If he can do that, then we can begin to talk about a potential role for Tebow on the 46-man active gameday roster.

Don't Expect a side show. We know the hype that comes with Tim Tebow. And we know that the Patriots are more than aware of that hype. And we know that Bill Belichick hates insubstantial hype. So yeah, we can rest assured that there won't be a side show in New England. Tim Tebow will be keeping as low of a profile as possible.

Get ready for yet another media frenzy; Tim Tebow is a Patriot. Here are my quick-hit thoughts on the signing

Why the hell did the Patriots just sign Tim Tebow?

That's a question that we are going to hear answered again - and again and again - by pretty much everyone who has ever had an opinion about anything over the next few weeks. This signing either came at the best possible time or the worst possible time, depending on how you look at it. One one hand, we are about to enter into the slowest news cycle on the NFL calendar, when most people turn their attention elsewhere (like those unnecessary distractions of work, friends, and family), and so one line of thinking is that there will be plenty of time for the Tebow story to die down as we all start to turn our attention to the preseason. On the other hand, signing Tebow right now, right before we're all going to be grasping at NFL straws for the next six weeks or so, means that pretty much all we'll have to focus on all summer is what Bill Belichick was thinking bringing one of the most polarizing figures in NFL history into the fold. Now as you all know, I've always been a glass-half-empty kind of guy, and so for all intents and purposes I should be freaking out here. Oddly, though, I'm not; I'm actually pretty calm about the whole thing. Below are some of the initial thoughts that went through my head when I heard that Tim Tebow was the newest Patriot.

If anyone can do it, Belichick can do it. Back when he was winning games as a Bronco and Tebow-mania was in full swing, I went on record saying that I didn't care one way or another about Tim Tebow - a statement I still stand by to this day. I always thought that he was a talented athlete who practiced what he preached and that all of the hype surrounding him was through absolutely no fault of his own, and all he ever wanted to do was play. And if Tim Tebow is able to play in the NFL, Bill Belichick will figure out how to make that happen. He may be a fullback, he may be a tight end, he may be unemployed come September, but whatever his skillset is, Belichick will find it, nurture it, and exploit it. Knock his QB play all you want (and Lord knows we all have), but the kid is a gifted athlete, and if he's going to be successful in the NFL, it's going to be here.

Tebow's last gasp. Going along with my last point, if Tebow doesn't cut it in New England, then his NFL career is likely over. I'd like to think that he is intelligent enough to realize that, and so I imagine his already strong work ethic will be ramped up even more this year. If the rumors of "Tebow will only play QB" are true, odds are that he'll be out on his God-fearing ass before he even has a chance to get assigned a number. But if he wants to come in, work hard, and adopt The Patriot Way, he may possibly have a future in the NFL. This could be the year where he proves himself a valuable utility player and gets a second life on another team following the 2013 season. Or, he stays in New England, becomes the next great [insert whatever position he ends up playing here] and becomes yet another New England success story.

Media no longer a factor. The New England Patriots know how to handle the media. There are those who would say that they don't, and that their standoffishness comes across as if they have some kind of smug superiority complex, but no player has ever let the media get the best of the locker room in the Bill Belichick era. Tim Tebow will be no exception. Tebow has never sought the spotlight, has never looked for attention, and has never been anything but the ultimate professional. Now that Tebow is a Patriot, we have officially heard our last press conference from him. We may actually never even see him open his mouth for an entire calendar year. There will be no backup quarterback media sessions. There will be no shirtless jogs through the misty morn. There will just be a guy wearing #15 going through his reps, and the media is just going to have to deal with that. And if the media does find a way to turn this into a circus (and my oh my how hard they will try), it most certainly won't affect anyone on the New England roster or cause the team any kind of distraction. And if it does? He's cut, just like that.

Josh McDaniels connection. Joshy Mick Dee must have had a hand in this. He's the one who drafted him, and he's the one who first believed. He must have some ideas on how to best utilize Tebow in this offense.

Bill Belichick was sick of the hype. I'm not entirely unconvinced that Belichick didn't sign Tebow just to put to rest any lingering notions that he hated him as a player. Probably not, but you never know with that guy.

The Fantasy Football Gods hate me. I'm in an auction format keeper league that allows you to keep up to two players from your previous season at the exact same price you initially paid for him. I got Stevan Ridley on the cheap last year, thinking that he would be a great keeper as the team's primary goal line back. Then the Pats went out and signed LeGarrette Blount, which worried me a little. Still, I figured Blount wouldn't steal too many of Ridley's TDs. But now that they have Tebow, I don't know if I can in good conscience keep Ridley for what I paid for him, as who knows who will be lining up back there. I mean, if Tommy B comes out in a Jumbo Set with Tebow, Ridley, and Aaron Hernandez all lined up in the backfield, who the hell is going to get the touch?

What do they have to lose? Jared already did a great job of touching on this, so I'll keep it short - but seriously, what do they have to lose? Is Tim Tebow a distraction? Is he a locker room cancer? Is he a diva? Absolutely not. At the end of the day he is a good kid with a lot of physical ability, a tremendous work ethic, and virtually zero quarterbacking skills. All of the hype, the circus, and the absurdity came from the media and the media alone. In 2011 it was because he was on the field winning games. In 2012 it was because he was on the Jets, a team that couldn't do anything without some kind of media frenzy. But in 2013, they are going to have to do a lot of reaching if they want to keep beating the Tebow storyline into the ground, and that is certainly something that Belichick could care less about.

Am I happy about the signing? Not particularly. Does it upset me? Not in the slightest. But I don't know how much weight my opinion holds - especially since it's about to get lost in an absolute sea of pundits. Get ready for everything from "great signing" to "Belichick's hubris gets the best of him" for the foreseeable future.

And if it gets to be too much for you, there's always this.

Tim Tebow a Patriot? It's happening, according to a report.

Just days after refuting a report that stated he hated Tim Tebow as a player, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has decided to sign Tim Tebow, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.

Belichick was last seen refuting a Yahoo! Sports report that he "hated" Tebow as a player. Belichick told ESPN Boston last week: "Every single player has strengths and weaknesses but regardless of that, for anyone to have represented that is the way I feel about Tim Tebow is completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible. It is unfortunate that something so inaccurate was reported."

Tebow of course was drafted by Josh McDaniels (now a Patriot) while with the Denver Broncos. He lead the Broncos to the playoffs, and then was replaced by Peyton Manning. Tebow spent the 2012 season with the Jets where he attempted just eight passes all season.

It's unclear how exactly Belichick and the Patriots will use Tebow. Obviously he's not taking Tom Brady's roster spot but the Patriots could get creative in how to use him.

The length and terms of Tebow's contract have yet to be reported.

Editor's note: With the news that the Patriots are signing Tim Tebow, it's time to revisit this post from Jared back in April.

Unitas and Starr in the 1960s. Staubach and Bradshaw in the 70s. Montana and Marino in the 80s. Elway and Young in the 90s. Manning and Brady in the 2000s. Rodgers and... Tebow in the 2010s.

With all due respect to Aaron Rodgers, who I personally believe to be a top two quarterback in the game today, there is one clear decade of featured quarterbacks that stand out above all. And not in a good way.

Through three NFL seasons, Tebow has put up numbers that are far from star quarterback status. Tebow has a career passer rating of 88.0, and has turned the ball over as many times as he's thrown a touchdown. Not exactly a great step in the rise to NFL prominence as a quarterback.

John Elway, now vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos, recognized that Tebow was not the next big thing, and traded him to the New York Jets for a draft pick before acquiring none other than Peyton Manning, to run his offense.

Tebow now finds himself unemployed, after he was released by the Jets following a season of limited playing time and severe distraction. After originally being brought to New York to add a "new element" the Jets offense and to push Mark Sanchez, Tebow had to sit on the sideline and watch Greg McElroy come in for a struggling Sanchez.

The whole experiment was a complete and utter failure.

Now as a free agent, Tebow has the ability to sort of start over with a new team and a new scene. After all, it'll do Tebow some good to get out of the mess that is the New York Jets.

Hours following Tebow's release, there was one known NFL team that several analysts and football minded people pinned as a possible landing spot for the former Heisman Trophy Winner: The New England Patriots.

Thus far, fans are having mixed thoughts about bringing the famed football player aboard. Here are three reasons why the Patriots should pull the trigger on a Tim Tebow signing.

Tebow Possesses Bill Belichick's Favorite Trait: Versatility (Well, At Least Potentially)

After watching him for almost three years now, I am a firm believer that Tim Tebow is a FOOTBALL player, not a quarterback. I understand that he won a National Championship in college and an NFL playoff game as a quarterback, but he just isn't built to be an NFL quarterback capable of winning a Super Bowl and being successful.

Whether it's the flawed mechanics in his throwing motion or his extreme inaccuracy when throwing, he just doesn't have what it takes to be an NFL quarterback who is capable of big things. He does however have a lot of athletic ability and has tremendous vision as a runner.

With Tom Brady, Ryan Mallett and Mike Kafka holding down the fort at quarterback, the team really has no need for Tebow as an option at quarterback.

If brought aboard, Tebow would likely be converted to a position like fullback, where he could see action as a short yardage back and also see action on special teams if needed. He's basically a player you can stash as a part-time fullback, fifth running back, extra tight end, and even a part-time quarterback.

Plus, Tebow does home experience with Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels during his rookie year in Denver. If Tebow is brought aboard, McDaniels will likely have ideas as to how to use Tebow. Drafting Tebow that early in the 2010 draft was McDaniels' call, so he likely had some sort of vision for him.

If Tebow is brought aboard, it is likely McDaniels who made the final call.

Tebow Is Searching For Opportunity, Not Money

Following a 9-7 regular season and a playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Broncos and their quarterback at the time, Tebow, saw their stock trending upward. With the Hall of Fame quarterback Elway at the helm of football operations, he decided that that was the time to trade Tebow, when his stock was at his highest.

Elway was only able to get a late round pick for Tebow, at his highest value. So when the Jets and GM John Idzik tried to trade Tebow during the offseason after a year on the bench, there were naturally no suitors that were willing to surrender anything, in return for Tebow. Because of that, Idzik chose to simply cut Tebow, rather than hold onto him any longer.

Now that essentially no team in the NFL wants near Tebowmania, he is in no position to want a substantial payday. Tebow has also insisted that he wants to play in the NFL, so he'll likely take any chance he gets in this league as a pure football player, rather than exploring options in the CFL as a starting quarterback.

This is where signing Tebow for the Patriots makes sense. He'll likely come extremely cheap, and the team will likely be able to structure a contract that does not involve as much guaranteed money as they would normally hand out to free agents. Thus, making it much easier for them to cut him if he's not a fit.

The Patriots Are The Opposite Of The Jets: They Have Nothing To Lose

When I heard about all of the drama that was going on up in New York with Tebow, I couldn't say that I was shocked. He was brought into a messy situation and a football team that was in need of more help than all of the help that Tebow himself could provide.

Some Jets fans viewed Tebow as the "savior of the franchise", and the player that would put the Jets back into Super Bowl contention. The man that would finally push Mark Sanchez out of the starting role and out of town. Seemingly high expectations in a city that is all about setting high expectations for their athletes, now matter how talented they are.

In this situation, Tebow isn't going to have all that weight on his shoulders as he did in New York and in Denver. He's going to basically come to New England on a dime and with absolutely no expectations to fulfill.

If Tebow doesn't work out, the Patriots can do what they've done with numerous other big name players that haven't worked out: Cut them, and move forward.

In any other NFL city, Tim Tebow is viewed as a national icon and a huge distraction. In New England, Tebow is just another player, who will be treated as such. As Bill Belichick says, he wants to field a team with players that he feels gives him the best chance to win on Sunday. If Tebow isn't in that group, then he'll be on his way out. Simple as that.

While Tebow being here for camp will likely result in a media frenzy, what NFL team is better at handeling the media and keeping things under wraps than the Patriots? Tim Tebow will be going from playing for a coach in Rex Ryan who craves national attention to Bill Belichick, who barely says three words to them.

To me, there is no better match for Tim Tebow in the NFL at this moment in time.
